Agents not on buyer's side

During final stages of registration of our new house, the Jawitz agents, agreed on multiple accounts to have the required repairs and maintenance done to the house. By the time the keys were handed over to us (only 4 days after registration) the outstanding items were once again pointed out to these agents. Escalations were made to the Branch Manager, but still no resolution. Now that we have access and full view of the house, we have found additional faults with plumbing and fixtures in the kitchen that are not in a working order, which was not disclosed to us, but the agents have made no attempt to resolve any of these issues. An electrical certificate was provided to us, even though the electrical fencing was held together with cable ties.<br> <br> My advice to other buyers in the Randburg area, DON'T use JAWITZ as you will not receive the service you expect. Have your own lawyer present during all discussions, viewings of house and when signing any paper work to protect yourselves.<br>
