Unfair and Inconsiderate Customer Treatment at Jaguar Landover Nelspruit

I bought a Jaguar at the Jaguar Landrover Nelspruit branch in 2016. I service my car diligently in Nelspruit as I reside there. Recently, i started having the following problems with the car: (1) when starting the car in the morning, there was a very loud sound coming from the engine as-if it was going to blow up and was also shaking (2) the raff count was going too high too quickly, whilst still at speed 20km/h, the raff count will quickly move to 4 or 5 before coming down (3) the car was consuming too much petrol because it took long before it could change to the next gear (its an automatic car).

I called the dealership and the car was towed to Land Rover Jaguar Nelspruit. The car stayed at the dealership for a week but upon receipt of the car I was told that the above stated problems were caused by a faulty starter and the fact that the petrol not getting into the engine. I questioned that if there was no petrol getting into the engine, how came the car was able to start - i was then told that there was a problem with the petrol pump that required them to reset. The service desk lady was unable to respond satisfactory to my questions and was adamant that she was reading to me what was in the job card and did not bother to get the person who was servicing the car or Manager to explain exactly how the problems listed above were dealt with. I ended getting my car keys and drove home.

I then took my car and drove it for a week but i realised that the only problem that was fixed related o the noise in the engine when i start it (the starter was replaced). After a week, i took the car back to Nelspruit dealership on the 18th Nov 2019 and explained the problems to the Manager because i felt the problems which made me to take the car to the dealership were not fixed. The Manager indicated that the machine used to detect problems is not picking up any problem and requested that it would be better if we (me and my husband) test drive the car with him driving so that he can experience the problems indicated.

The Manager indicated that the problems seems to be coming from the deepest parts of the car which will require Jaguar Nelspruit to take out a number of parts which must be disjointed and reassembled in order to fix the problem. He further indicated that the exercise will need us to be patient as it will take sometime to finish the task. He further assured us that they will also check the gear box since it does not change timeously, check the reason the raff count goes sky high too quickly and reset something that controls the petrol flow.

It has been more than two weeks my car is idling at the dealership and was told today as i was making inquiries that nothing has been done because the Manager says when he starts the car every morning all is well. It is really hurting that a man of his caliber can be so ruthless and brutal - he made empty promises to us and he is kept the car there for two weeks doing absolutely nothing to fix it. Can you imagine paying for a monthly installment and insurance for a car that the dealer is keeping not fixing.

I am now very worried and this situation is causing depression in me because my service and warranty plan lapses in January 2020. Kindly advise me on what i should do because Jaguar Nelspruit is taking me for a ride - i was once a very happy client of Jaguar but now i feel there is no longer good customer service and value for money. Someone please help...........
