Terrible or non existent service The Glen Jaguar Landrover
Wow! Shocked and appalled by your response. I thought you were a reputable company and expected better from Landrover!
Please note that I brought the car in on Friday morning 18th September, waited 45minutes for the diagnostic test to be done and was told by your workshop foreman that 2 sensors needed to be replaced and that the car needed to be left there for the work to be done. I was called on Friday afternoon and told that the work was not completed. I only fetched the car on Tuesday afternoon and asked the service lady several times why the sensors was not changed and she assured me that the car was tested by your technicians and I would not have that problem again.
See below response from Landrover Ballito!

We did everything we could on the day of your visit as per the Diagnosis on your vehicle, I do apologies that the error had returned after your visit with us at The Glen.
Landrover Ballito; Work carried out on the vehicle:
· JLR The Glen failed to properly diagnose the sensor fault, and just did a power module reset and released the car. This resulted in the vehicle having the same fault again and going into a restricted power mode to protect itself on your drive down to KZN. The car still carried you safely to KZN at a restricted speed.
· We made arrangements for the vehicle to be brought to us as your selling dealer so that we have full control and could prioritise the repair, and JLR provided you with a Range Rover Velar courtesy car while we diagnosed and repaired your car.
· The vehicle was road tested, and diagnosed with a manifold (Map) sensor fault, so the sensor was cleaned, tested and then replaced, and then a smoke test and wiring test was also carried out, and the related hose clamp was also replaced to eliminate any possibility of the fault having arisen from something other than the sensor. The car was then extensively road tested on 3 different occasions over 2 different days to make absolutely sure the problem was solved. All of the road testing was successful and the car was given the all clear.
· JLR is now organising for repatriation of the your car to JHB.
We are sorry to learn of your unfortunate experience.
