Shame on you Jaguar

Below is a review I submitted to HelloPeter.com on 4 May, please see the update below the first review:

My Jaguar went into Jaguar Service Centre on Mon 24 April as it was cutting out all the time when I was driving. I never heard a word from Jaguar until the FOLLOWING Tues, 2 May, when I phoned to ask what was happening. Why had Jaguar kept the car for this amount of time and done nothing to it in over a week???

They said they had not yet found the fault, but they would keep me updated.

Once again , this morning, the 4 May, I had to phone to ask what was happening to my car, they told me they have still not found the fault. I asked why no one had contacted me, and no explanation was offered.

Jaguar, this is really bad service. I receive a call from Jaguar at least every six months trying to sell me a new car, but you guys aren't even capable of keeping clients updated when the car is brought in with a small problem.

Mr Managing Director of Jaguar, how would you feel if your Jaguar was kept for almost 2 weeks with NO calls to update you about the progress??

PLEASE get back to me with an answer today.

Thanks

Sergio Resca and Roy Gardner

TODAY'S REVIEW (17 MAY 2017)

I got my car back from Jaguar on the 5 May, they told me they could not find any fault. I paid R4710.00 for a service. That afternoon I had a Doctor's appointment, and the car cut out 3 times on the highway on the way to the doctor, and when I got home it was dead, this after being at the workshop from 24 April to the 5 May!!!!

I took the car back in on Sat 6 May, and they called on Monday 8th to say they would now try again to find the fault and keep me updated on the progress. After MANY phone calls and lots of shouting, a manager phoned to apologize for the bad service I had received, and promised action!

They called me yesterday to tell me they had found the fault (TWENTY FOUR DAYS AFTER I FIRST TOOK THE CAR IN).

I fetched my car today, the 17 May, as Jaguar told me they have found the fault and they have to order the parts from the UK, so I could drive the car till the parts arrived, they would call me when the parts arrived and I could then bring the car in to fit the parts.

So, it has taken them from 24 April to give me this answer!!!!!????? The lady then told me that I had to pay R13955.95 for the parts NOW, and that unless I paid they would not order the parts!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! They could give me no guarantee as to how long I would have to wait for the parts, but I was forced to pay TODAY for parts I could possibly only receive in 3 weeks time. Is this legal or ethical??? I have NEVER taken my car to any other garage other than Jaguar, I have been a loyal client for many, many years, and this is how Jaguar thanks me.

I asked the lady called Maddie in the reception to email me the name of the managing director of Jaguar SA, which she PROMISED to do, she has sent nothing!!!

SHAME ON YOU JAGUAR FOR THIS DISGUSTING SERVICE. We have been considering buying a new car, but we will very definitely not be buying a Jag after this terrible experience.

Roy Gardner and Sergio Resca
