Range Rover Dishonest and Inferior service
I'm the owner of a Range Rover Evoque 2014, a few years ago my Car was in a accident and was in for repairs when it was time for my yearly Service. When I got my Car back I took it for its Service. Range Rover insisted that I pay for the Service seeing that my Car was late. I explained to them that it was in for repairs so it wasn't possible for me to take my vehicle in. They then said that I should have notified them.I also know for a fact that the Range Rover approved Mechanic assured me that part of their process is that they log with Range Rover that is in for repairs. So they insisted I pay for the Service, even though my Car had very low mileage on it and it was maybe my first or second service. In September 2018 my Car's service light was blinking and we sent it in to Range Rover. My service was only due in December. Assuming it had already been serviced, we didn't take it in December. My service light went on in January. My Car wasn't used from the 20th Dec 2018 to 7 Jan 2019. My service light went on around the 13th, We made a booking for the 17th. They are again insisting that I pay for the service having only missed my grace period by 3 days. And to make matters worse is my brakes need replacing they are also refusing to cover that under the service plan. So I have to Pay R12 000 for a car that is still within its warranty and only has 67 000km on it after almost 5 years. To make matters even worse is that at that stage we bought 2 Range Rover evoque and one Range rover sport. This is the type of treatment you can expect from them. I wouldn't recommend that anyone should ever consider them. I'm finally selling my Car even though theres nothing wrong with it and it has very low mileage, because I'm tired of paying for a premium car and getting inferior/dishonest service.
