POOR AFTER SALES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM JAGUAR LANDROVER SA
These guys customer relations and after sales service for JLR vehicles out of Motorplan is shocking . Firstly their rates are amongst the highest in the industry and then they are unable to identify problems whilst the vehicle is in Motorplan . Once it is out of Motorplan you are at their mercy . They issued service discount vouchers which expired during Level 3 in July . Now that we are in Level 1 they will not renew or extend the voucher validity . We did try using the voucher pre-lockdown but due to their shocking lack of communication and customer-service this was not possible . Will never recommend them or their products to anyone

14 Oct 2020, 10:42Sad to say still no response from JLR's ''Customer Relationship Centre '' as yet .
Really do see the case for not recommending them or their products to anyone .
This issue goes back to 2019 and remains unresolved .

15 Oct 2020, 09:17Still no response from JLR South Africa .. clearly customer satisfaction and customer retention is not high on their list of priorities .
The vehicle is still at their dealership , having it's 187000km service at 120000km at a cost of over R21000 the bulk of which is +/- R10000 for labour .
Just received an additional quote of R25K to: 'fix' the key fob ( replaced twice previously under Motorplan ) , replace left and right front door latches because the locks have failed and cannot be locked using the remote , replace the tailgate latch which has failed and the tailgate can no longer be opened and closed or locked , and to replace 3 x wiper blades .
The wear and tear items like wipers I can accept but how can the rest of the items fail at 120000km ?
Seems like built-in obsolescence with JLR products and their Discovery models are the worst .
Other issues encountered was a driver's seat that kept blowing a fuse and becoming stuck in odd positions - this had to be fixed elsewhere because JLR were unable to fix it in or out of Motorplan - the electronic handbrake that seized and would not disengage leaving my wife and kids stranded , a driver's door mirror cover that popped out whilst driving and has had to be held in place with duct tape .
And the list goes on ..
DO NOT BUY ANY JLR PRODUCT ..i have spoken to other owners and been onto several forums and JLR's poor product quality and sub-standard customer service is legendary .
