Landrover car hit by lightning dealer wants to charge storage fee or give us back damaged car

Our car was hit by lightning, dealer (Landrover Polokwane) gave us a quotation to fix the car which was sent to insurance for a claim which we are awaiting to be finalised.

The matter has been further handed over to the motor industry ombudman due to the fact that Landrover Centurion refuses to complete further mechanical investigation of lightning matter due to the fact that fixing the car does not guarantee that the car will still be intact or safe for use as confirmed by Landrover Polokwane. This incident proves that Landrover cars are unsafe in storm conditions.

We and have notified the Landrover Polokwane, where the car is parked that the matter has not yet been finalised with the insurance we will contact them when we have feedback, we keep getting bi weekly calls for feedback and to some extend have been told that our car would be sent to storage or collect the damaged car as it is.

We have not even been afforded a courtesy car by either dealerships, we unfortunately will get to a point where we will notify Vehicle finance houses of the service from Landrover South Africa dealerships with regards to their post-sale customer service.
