LAND ROVER sold me a dud!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hello Land Rover Land Rover Sandton Land Rover Bedfordview
I purchased my brand new Range Rover Evoque on the 11th of May 2016 from Land Rover Bedfordview. Sales person: Zeph Makhathini. Land Rover SA Maybe you'll read this here since you're not responding to my emails and calls.
The car started giving me problems from October 2016. I then took it in to Land Rover Bedfordview on the 17th of November 2016 because the airbag warning light and gearbox fault light was on and they did not find the fault.
The gearbox warning light continued popping up, I then decided to take it to Land Rover Sandton since Land Rover Bedfordview couldn't find a fault. On the 19th of January 2017 I booked it in for the gearbox warning light, speakers were making a noise as well as the brakes. Brakes were cleaned and not replaced and nothing was done about the speaker. They also did not find a fault with the gearbox.
On the 6th of April 2017 I had to book the car in AGAIN for the gearbox light because the car started getting stuck in the middle of nowhere and I would have to switch off the car for about 15 minutes then try restart it again. At this point the engine warning light was also on. I booked the car in and no fault was found once again so they just serviced the car at 16 000km's.
The gearbox warning light STILL continued and I had to book my car in at Land Rover Sandton on the 17th of May 2017. The boot also wouldn't open fully with the key so I had to physically open it myself. Land Rover Sandton kept my car for about a week because once AGAIN they could not find a fault with the gearbox and the boot. They would keep saying they just need to restart the software or whatever and I kept saying that they have been doing that but the gearbox was still faulty. At this point my patience was really min because I had been driving my car for a year and it had not stopped giving me problems since. How does a brand new Range Rover get stuck every month????
Of course, the problem occurred again. While I was trying to reverse and the car just shut down and showed the gearbox fault. I then booked it in for the 9th of June 2017, my brakes also needed to be replaced which was done but the gearbox fault was STILL not fixed because I then had to book it in AGAIN o the 14th of December 2017 for the gearbox. Low and behold on the 5th of January 2018 the car completely died on me as I was trying to reverse and every single warning light came on. My car had to be towed by Land Rover Assist to Land Rover Sandton, it is still there now.
I attached all the invoices to the email I sent to Land Rover SA and forwarded images of all the warning lights that pop up on my car on the when the gearbox fails.
I am actually extremely angry and disappointed that I spent close to a million rand for a car that CLEARLY has a factory problem. This is not what I expected when I purchased an entire Range Rover. I feel like this car needs to be replaced by Land Rover with a proper working car that is not faulty from the factory and with a gearbox that actually works. It has just been frustrating to say the least.
I literally collected my car from Land Rover Sandton on Friday (26/01/2018) morning after they told me they couldn't fault it once again! Guess what happened next? On Saturday (27/01/2018) morning I tried to start the car and all the warning lights came on again and the car would not move!
I am a very unhappy customer and I need a proper working car ASAP! Land Rover SA has not rep**** to any of my emails, they customer service just sucks entlek! P.S Excuse the poor grammar, I'm just really mad!!
