LAND ROVER SERVICE LACKING

I requested a manufacturer's certificate in March 2023 for a vehicle manufactured by Land Rover in 1984. Sadly they are not interested in assisting me. On the 04th May I received this ice cold response from Land Rover. "Good morning, Thank you for contacting Jaguar Land Rover South Africa. Please be advised that, we are unable to pick up the details of the vehicle on our systems. We further checked with the JLRSA Technical department, and they advised that the vehicle is over 10 years, they cannot pick up any information we well. Kind Regards, CUSTOMER SERVICES OPERATIONS Jaguar Land Rover South Africa (Pty) Ltd".

I then rep**** to their email asking if they can at least provide me with a confirmation letter stating the following: 1. Year the vehicle was manufactured (1984). currently registered as a 1954 model. 2 Vehicle make and series name (Land Rover). Currently listed as make being a Rover and the series name as Other This is the response I received from Land Rover: "Good day Thank you. Kindly provide us with the VIN so that we can check our systems.

I rep**** on the 10th May with information required and have not heard back!

Now I have to ask; how is it that they are unable to provide me with a manufacturer's certificate if they dont even know the VIN number? Is it just because the vehicle was manufactured in 1984 that Land Rover does not want to look for the information required? Land Rover customer service does not extend to those with vehicles older than 10 years! Land Rover service is seriously lacking and clearly Land Rover does not feel the need to back up information for older vehicles.

What does one label this kind of service? Is it only Land Rover South Africa or Land Rover as a whole world wide? Do we need this disgusting service in today's economy and environment with everything going wrong in our country at the moment? Land Rover should be ashamed at these levels of service instead of promoting it!
