Land Rover Bedfordview - Avoid at all costs
On 07 April 2016, our Range Rover Sport was taken to Land Rover Bedfordview for a spare key to be coded - An appointment that had been booked for 2 weeks. The driver was kept for over an hour while this was supposed to be taking place. He was then told that all “these new Range Rovers” need a special part to be ordered to code the key. I was surprised that they couldn’t have told us this in the two weeks preceding the appointment, especially as they knew what we were booked in for. The car was then returned to us, absolutely filthy dirty, inside and out, and with a badly damaged rim and tyre. The technicians working on the car also helped themselves to R400 that was on the front seat. Pieter at Land Rover Bedfordview has washed his hands of the entire complaint stating that it is impossible that the car was damaged as there are “no kerbs or anywhere where they could have hit the wheel” and that the car was not driven at all. Further he says that there is nothing that they can do regarding the ****** money as there is no evidence. I have requested copies of the CCTV footage from the dealership and was told that the CCTV was down due to the construction. After escalating to the Dealer Principal, the R400 was reimbursed to us. This is not the first time that this dealership has damaged a vehicle of ours. A previous Range Rover Evoque was sent to the dealership for monitors to be installed in the seat headrests and that car left with both backs of the seats completely damaged. Once again, Land Rover Bedfordview completely denied any responsibility. So two immaculate cars taken into the dealership and both damaged, and apparently none of it the fault of Land Rover Bedfordview. Take your car there at your own risk.
