Lack of Accountability and Service
This has got to be the worst experience I have had to go through with the purchasing of a brand new vehicle. I was always an avid BMW driver and decided to change to go for a "so called" better brand of vehicle, of "so called" class and luxury. What I got and the type of service and lack of response that I am dealing with is appalling to say the least. I purchased a brand new vehicle in October last year, ever since I picked up the vehicle, it had to be booked into the dealership for problems more than I am driving it. The first was the travel springs that was not removed when I took delivery of the vehicle. There have been so many problems that it is too many to mention. The last straw was the engine light coming on. I got the vehicle towed and they repaired whatever was wrong and two days later the engine light came on again whilst driving alone with my daughter. Once again the vehicle was towed. I called for a meeting and asked for this vehicle to be changed. It has been almost three weeks and nothing has been done. I sent an email yesterday to the dealership. So this morning I got in only to receive an email that has insulted me to the maximum and therefore I have no choice now but to bring this to the attention of social media. This case was brought to the attention of The Glen Jaguar Land Rover over a month ago. I get a deal now that states I need to do a trade on the vehicle, charging me 15% on VAT, on the road fees and more and I must pay in R268 000 towards a new vehicle. I had discussed a substitution on my vehicle for another brand of theirs and I get insulted with this quote today. I deal with people that don't return calls and fail to respond to emails until I make a fuss out of it. I am longer going to keep quiet about this as I have given the dealership and Jaguar SA enough time to have this resolved. I clearly advised I will not drive a vehicle that is placing my life as well as my families life at risk whenever I drive it. If I purchased a "demo" or "used " vehicle then I will be patient enough for the defects to be resolved but this was a brand new vehicle. I am at my wits end with this entire ordeal. I am paying an exorbitant installment, insurance and tracker on a vehicle that I longer drive as it sits at the dealers workshop and now you want to do an entire new deal and loose all the money I have just paid on this vehicle. So who may I ask do Jaguar SA and The Glen think they are dealing with. I am not an uneducated individual who you think you can take for a ride and try to make money out of me again. If this matter is not resolve to my satisfaction as a consumer, I will referring this to Carte Blanche for them to do a full investigation into this entire matter.
