Failed repair on vehicle

Complaint against Jaguar Hillcrest

My name is Michael James Brady living in Johannesburg near Linksfields Ridge, during 2015 I was on a trip to Amazimtoti to visit my brother who is not in good health, on the way down and having stopped at the toll booth, I noticed that my Jaguar a S-Type would not pull off, there was something very wrong with it, however I managed to get it going and continued on my way to the coast, arriving at the coast with my brother, and after calling Hillcrest Jaguar, I was told that it could be a Torque converter problem, a local who said he could repair the vehicle was given the job to do so, the end result after a major fight and ******** and civil documents and actions taken against the mechanic, I called Hillcrest to uplift the vehicle, this after paying R 8000 plus R 5000 for the so called repairs that were never carried out, plus damages to the vehicle totalling some R 29 000, Hillcrest picked up the vehicle and took it back to their workshop to repair the gearbox and torque converter, mean while `I was waiting for funds from off s**** as I had been staying in Europe for the last 10 years, so I was hoping to have funds released to me, however this took longer than expected, with the result that the vehicle stood with Hillcrest for almost a year, I paid R 50 000 for the repair, and asked my brother to drive the vehicle to Kingsborough to his home address, after arriving there, we noticed smoke pouring out from under the car, to the point that the neighbours called the fire department, it turned out to be oil in the gearbox smoking, which is not normal, I then called Hillcrest to let them know what the problem was, I did not get a very good response, and they told me that the repairs was out of warranty, the vehicle had not been used, so no wear could have taken place, on hearing that they had no further interest in my vehicle, I called Spark light Gearbox services in Johannesburg who then sent a vehicle down to the coast to fetch the vehicle, the vehicle was stripped in Johannesburg and from the report I got from Spark light, the gearbox to all intense and purpose had not been repaired correctly, I have seen the report, which says that all the clutches are burned and there was sediment in the gearbox, showing that a less than professional job had been done on the gearbox, the cost to repair this gearbox is now a further R 42000, so I my lawyer sent a demand for payment to Hillcrest and they refuse to pay, I called Jaguar head office in Pretoria and explained my problem to them, this was in fact the second time I called them, the first was some 8 months ago without any result, so again I am sitting again without any result. I spoke to me lawyer and he said that if we have to bring an action against Hillcrest `jaguar it will cost R 50 000, this is getting out of hand, and all I want is to have the matter resolved.
