Disgrace

It's very rare I turn to social media , however on this occasion I have absolutely no option due to the sheer incompetence and *****ulent actions of Jaguar Bryanston. Over the past number of years I have had numerous Land Rover vehicles . Each of these vehicles have had a perfect service history and have been taken to the relevant dealerships. Most recently my Jaguar F pace which i took to Land Rover in Sandton in 2020 and 2021 and then in 2022 to the newly renovated bryanston dealership as it is far closer to where I live. In may 2022 the cars service light came on and I promptly booked it into the dealership for a service . I have clear records showing as such . A sticker was then Placed on my vehicle from the dealership after an entire day with them stating the service had been performed ( which is attached, and they couldn't even do it correctly ) clearly further outlining their incompetence.

Run forward a few months and my cars motor plan is due to expire at the end of august 2022 and despite thinking my service had been done still booked it into Jaguar bryanston on 8 august 2022 ( yet again document proving this) for a service as any individual who is aware of the costs of a service out of motor plan would make sure to get it done before the expiry. The car was with them and was released back to me a few days later as I was away on business and going through a very tough time with a critically Ill father who passed away not too long after .

At this point I was comfortable in the fact my car had been serviced and went on to take out warranty cover with discovery / M sure to cover all main mechanical components.

Forward on to July this year and my car has a breakdown. After 6 weeks of work it is deemed that engine work is required ( not a mechanic ) so don't know the intricacies of the repair. We approach Discovery Insure who then spoke to the company used M-Sure. On inspecting the vehicle any and all repairs were approved . The amount in excess of R280 000.

When discovery called Jaguar to get the service records for 2022 to finalize and pay out the claim they were informed that their was no service record for the 2022 year ( a massive shock to me) in fact I presumed an error had been made.

But nope not only did Jaguar place a service sticker confirming a service but they did not at any stage actually perform a service . Their excuse ... in may the car wasn't due ( fair enough ... then why was a sticker confirming a service had been done placed)

And august? Yet again they couldn't do a service due to it being 8 days ( yes you read right , days not weeks not months ..... DAYS to early . Despite clearly knowing my Motorplan was about to expire. Furthermore they have absolutely no records stating that I as a client who is not a mechanic was informed of this , other then a signature on the work done. ( yet again I'm not a specialist in vehicles in any way and am 100% reliant on them) so obviously I am not going to look at detail at the invoice . And based on my impeccable service history I thinks it's pretty safe to assume if I was informed that a service couldn't be performed , knowing all too well my plan was about to expire I would have brought it back despite the 'monstrous ' 2km drive .

This brings us to where we are now . A car dealership who has acted in the most unprofessional and reckless manner who are refusing to take any responsibility. I was more then happy to resolve this with them amicably even offering them the chance to buy the vehicle and sell me another but nope. They think they can do what they want to their clients and it will be accepted. I have spoken to people at numerous car dealerships (dealer principles ) as well as discovery themeselves who have stated they are more then willing to fight with me on this .

I will not leave a stone unturned in my fight to get this ******* dealership to accept responsibility. I urge you all to share this and help me get all I'm asking for ,which is the dealership to take responsibility and help me out with this. In no way is it acceptable that I am left with a bill of nearly R300 000 when I have done absolutely nothing wrong and in no way acted negligently.

I hope you all help me out by sharing ,knowing I would do the same for you. This is not how big companies should treat their clients no matter the amounts they make.

Thanks
