Defective vehicle, dishonest staff

I purchased a Nissan Patrol from Jaguar Landrover East Rand in March this year which was advertised as being in 'immaculate condition'. After taking delivery, I noticed a harsh metallic sound when driving and contacted Brandon, the salesman, who informed us he'd arrange repairs. There was no action taken and on following up, our pleas for repairs were ignored for months. I've been paying for a vehicle for 4 months now that I haven't felt safe driving and been ignored when previously asking for repairs. We took it to Nissan to assess what is wrong and the brakes are on the indicator, among many other issues, making this vehicle totally unsafe to drive. This should never have passed roadworthy. According to the CPA, if you're sold a defective vehicle you may request 'repairs, a refund, or replacement' within 6 months. We've now been speaking to Christo, the branch manager, who is ignoring my request to return the car (as is within my consumer rights) and simply forwarding me the roadworthy certificate. Do not purchase a vehicle from these ******** *******.

Jaguar landrover South Africa appointed a ‘customer relationship manager’ to mediate between myself and Jaguar Landrover East rand. They are prepared to make some of the repairs to the vehicle but not all, and are unwilling to contribute toward the 4 months of premiums I’ve been paying on an unroadworthy vehicle that I haven’t been able to drive whilst they ignored our requests for repairs. DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE FROM THIS DEALER. I’d have expected way more from such a big name and am laying a case with the ombudsman
