Dealer Principal Poor and ****** Service Experience & Potential theft inside dealership

My car went in for a front brake change, my drive home I was on the phone and the radio was off. The following morning I realise that the Car radio does not switch on. My radio had been working before booking the car, I know this because I was listening to current affairs for 10 minutes outside the dealership. When i report this to the dealership the dealership promises to submit a goodwill claim to head office for the replacement of the control unit. After three months of no radio in my car and after several calls to the dealer where the claims clark was off for a very long time during which there were no claims processed by the dealership, when they finally returned from leave I called only to be told that the head office is refusing to honor the repair of my radio due to a recall campaign due on the vehicle. A RECALL CAMPAIGN IS WHEN A MANUFACTURER REALISES THAT THEY FITTED A DEFECTIVE COMPONENT in your vehicle and must refitted for free. I then booked my car for the recall to be carried out hoping to now be told/ask to return the vehicle for the radio repair. THE CLARK WHO BOOKED THE CAR FOR RECALL CASE PROMISED THAT THE RADIO WOULD BE REPAIR SHORTLY AFTER THE RECALL. To my supprise another excuse was that the radio would not be replaced because my vehicle had skipped a service interval. I approached the dealer principal who instantly chased me away from his office siting and investigation to be conducted. Because this was now 4 months later, I insisted that I would not leave his office until all the parties be called into his office to provide a full story to the case. They came and met behind closed doors, I was later told they wouldn't repair my radio until I brought the car for a service. This meant continueing to pump money in an institutiion that kept making empty promises.

****** TREATMENT

The most painful part of this is the ******, arrogant and undermining tone and manner that the dealer principal Eric Voster.

POTENTIAL DAMAGE & THEFT

Lastly and what is even more scary for me is that when you send your car into this Landrover Pretoria dealership they remove a part (in my experience) from your car to test in another client's vehicle to check if their diagnosis is correct. This is what the technician who diagnosed my radio control unit did, removed a radio control unit from another client's vehicle to check in my car to test if indeed the radio control unit is the faulty component. During this exchange the technician may break your part which what I am convinced happened in my case.

CONCLUSION

I spent 4 months without a radio in my car after my car visited Landrover Pretoria dealership

A clerk from dealership made a promise for my radio to be fixed after a recal campaign, never happened

Dealer principal's ******, undermining, and arrogant attitude took the cake sending a message that they can do without the support from black customers in their dealership.
