I was a little sceptic about placing an order especially after I had vetted the supplier on hellopeter and there seemed to be quite a few complaints about non-receipt of orders and claims of poor customer support thereafter. Instead of placing the order I sent a short message via their website informing them why I had decided against placing order. I wasn't expecting a reply, so was quite surprised to receive a mail from the Sales Manager early the next day. All my queries were responded to promptly so once I was given the assurance that they had the item in stock I decided to go ahead. Placed order on 25/2 at 11.00, on 26/2 received e-mail confirming that package had been dispatched and would be delivered before 16.00 on 27/2 and so it was - received package at 10.00 am in fact so 48 hour turnaround time from payment to delivery (Cape Town to Jhb) will exceed most people's expectations. The key to avoiding delays I think though is to make sure the item is in stock before placing order. If it has to be sourced first, at least you know to adjust your expectations. Perfect.
