IUA (Bidvest Policy) Incompetence

IUA Incompetence

Have a tyre and rim protection policy. Did a rim damage claim. Claim for R2500 on repair was approved. The repair company wheel collision, who is the most reputable in the province, advised that the colour could be matched only 85%. I was unhappy and took the rim to another company and they told me the same. I then cancelled the repair claim and submitted a quote for a replacement rim from Tiger Wheel which was R1500. IUA (admin dept) refused to approve as it was for replacement. I explained to the consultant the situation and she refused to understand. There is no logic in IUA as they should have made an exception due to the replacement costing R1500 instead of repair cost being R2500. IUA has forced me to repair even thou the rim colour cannot be matched. Absolutely no logical sense by Bidvest IUA. I await feedback urgently.
