I took a 12 month contract with ITTX in the month of July 2021 for a 10MBPS line for the amount of R399.00. The is a R600 device amount payable which is refundable as per their contract. Unfortunately due to the fact that I could no longer stay in the complex I cancelled my contract. I do acknowledge that I did not serve the 1 calendar month notice due to the fact that I could not continue residing in a toxic environment and the housing Tribunal was involved (Ephrams View), but now instead of ITTX taking their R399 subscription which would have been due for the month of December 2021 they want to take the whole R600. Nowhere in their contract does it state that the R600 would be detained due to the fact that a contract has been cancelled. It clearly states "R600 REFUNDABLE HARDWARE DEPOSIT IS REQUIRED".
