Pricy porcelain at sub-grade quality

<p>I bough Torre Stone Matt Glazed Porcelain Floor Tile 600x600mm in excess of R20000. After installation, I have noticed various tile edge chippings on the tiles, and grazing of the tile cutter. I reprimand my tiler, however, the problem presisted. I consulted Italtile w.r.t the problem to find out where the problem lies. They have inspected my tiles, had a consultant out to inspect my tiles, and took a sample tile for factory testing. Impossible to get any feedback after 2 weeks. In the meanwhile, I have installed ceramic and porcelain tiles in bathroom , purchased from TileAfrica. To my relief, I had not further damage or edge clippings for these tiles. So I doubt the error lies with the tiler who claims the provided porcelain from Italtile must be ceramic.</p> <p>In summary, Italtile overprice sub-grade tiles at premium rate, with no accountancy for poor products or drive to resolve customer issues in a timely manner. Would recommend TileAfrica any day.
