Isuzu KB300 D-TEQ E/Cab.........the worst 4x4 by far!

If you feel like going back on average once a month for your bakkie to be fixed.....buy a Isuzu KB! Bought a new one just short of a year ago, and it must be the biggest nightmare I could have asked for wasting my time and money on this vehicle. After the first week as a proud owner of a brand new vehicle, driving only to work and back on tar road, it started making a unusual noise that took me taking it twice to the local dealership (Williams Hunt Port Elizabeth) before the technicians could agree they also hear the noise. Every time the inconveniece of not having a vehicle for the they as they do not offer courtesy vehicles and stuff the clients working with their vehicles. The problem was identified as the release bearing on the gearbox that needs to be replaced!! Brand new vehicle within the first two days of using it??!!! Off cause no parts available that I find out later on is the norm for not having parts available, they always have to order the parts and you have to waste another day of time and inconvenience not having a vehicle. Weeks later the bearing was replaced driving around with the noise, and then the rattles started. Rattles from all directions that sounds like loose plates, but off cause after taking it back twice only one of the 10 simultaneous noises stopped. Only a few months later I experienced that when braking the vehicle shudder until it stops. It was due for a service and I thought they might replace the disc pads on the 30,000km service as a routine, but I mentioned the problem to the service advisor. Once again they told me that there is nothing wrong with the brakes and the pads still have 4mm on that is not a good enough reason to replace them as yet. The next day I took the long road, and as my luck goes since I bought this horrible vehicle I had to make an emergency stop for a *** in the middle of the road. This time the brakes first shudder and then as if it slip, causing that I ended up in the field next to the road for not been able to stop the vehicle. Luckily all the fencing was ****** and no ant-heaps in the field. The very next day I took a drive to Williams Hunt PE and asked for the service manager. Having to look for him myself around the building as they could not find him, I told him to take a drive with me right now. Surprisingly he jump in and we took a drive around the block. After the first brake he immediately said to me that there is definately a problem with the brakes, and without expecting it he also mentioned the rattle noises that he heard as not normal. My first words to him was how is it possible that he can hear the problems but his technician serviced this vehicle days ago and told me there are absolutely nothing wrong??!!!! Got back and he asked me to book the vehicle in and instructed the service advisor they have to skim the braking discs. In the meantime the glove box on the dashboard could not open anymore and they ordered a new one as it is apparently a common complaint from customers with this bakkies. They phoned me to confirm that the part arrived and I book the vehicle in telling the service advisor that they have to replace the box at the same time the brakes will be attended to to safe me from sitting two different days without a vehicle. When I arrived at the dealership the morning, they confirmed the replacement of the box will be done only. I nearly explode as the main purpose of the booking was for the brakes!! They changed the job card and at no surprise when I got the vehicle back the evening nothing was done on the brakes. Was told that they need authorisation from GM to attend to the problem. It is now two weeks later and I developed whiplash from the shudder of getting this absolute ******* of a vehicle to get to a standstill, and no reply from the dealership that knows me so well after seeing me so offen that everyone knows me by name. I rated the service as a 1/10 for satisfactory of the service received and had a call 5 minutes ago from the advisor that the authorisation just came through from GM. But no surprise.........the parts have to be ordered!!!!! Meaning that if GM did not gave a authorisation, they had NO INTENTIONS to solve the problem despite who is going to pay for it or not. So please people, go waste your money on a different brand and specially if you wants to use your bakkie for a gravel road and a workhorse. This will be your worst choice ever made that I regret ever since I drove it out of the showroom. If this KB300 cannot even cope with mainly driving on a tar road and not working at all purely for commuting, I think it will completely fall apart as a workhorse and you will also know the workshop of your dealership in and out. Lastly, stay away from Williams Hunt if you need things to be fixed, they will waiste your time sitting without a vehicle for the day and will not have the parts to fix your problem anyway.
