Disappointing after sales service

On about 27 Jan 2017 I test drove a Hino 300 at Isuzu Truck Centre in Cape Town

I was keen to buy it but noticed that the load body was skew (hanging to left) and I mentioned this to Jason.

Jason assured me it would be easily fixed by tightenting the bolts correctly.

I paid my deposit of R77999

Before paying I asked Jason to confirm that the body was straight. Jason confirmed it was straight in an email dated 3 Feb.

Truck was delivered on 10 Feb and despite me asking Jason to 100% sure it was straight before delivering (again on the phone). It arrived skew. It looked exactly like it did when I first saw it.

I also noticed that the whole load body is infact shifted over to the left. I.e. it does not sit directly behind the cab but to the left. This is why it was hanging down on the left.

Jason apologised and said he would take it to the body builders to be properly corrected.

On Monday 13 Feb Jason brought it back, now straight vertically, but still sitting left behind the cab.

I then spoke to the body builders on the phone who was very edgy about the whole thing. He said he was told to do a quick fix (he put a spacer in) and that the proper thing would be to loosen and move the entire body. His words were 'I didn't want to get involved with this.'

I am still waiting for my truck and have not been given a replacement or meaningful compensation for the way I have been repeatedly messed around.

I have been promised it will be delivered before 21 Feb 2017.
