Luyanda service consultant gave me a bad service
I recently visited the iStore at Maponya Mall intending to purchase an iPhone charging cable. While I was there, I asked the Assistant Manager whether I could apply for a cellphone contract. He informed me that it would not be a problem and asked me to wait for a consultant to assist me.
After waiting, I was called by a consultant named Luyanda. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing from the ex start. He did not greet me or make any effort to welcome me as a customer. Instead, he immediately stated that he had been informed that I wanted to apply for a contract. I confirmed this, but he remained disengaged and did not acknowledge me in a professional or courteous manner.
He then looked at his watch and informed me that the application process would take approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes. At the time, it was already 5:30 PM and the store was due to close at 6:00 PM. I was left wondering why this information had not been communicated to me from the outset, before I spent time waiting for assistance.
I understand that stores have operating hours and procedures, but I believe customers should be treated with respect, greeted professionally, and given clear information from the beginning. Unfortunately, my interaction with Luyanda fell short of the level of customer service I expected from the iStore brand.
I hope management will address this matter and ensure that all customers receive courteous and professional service.
