Poor service Ishmael and Dhaya with FNB
I settled my FNB account in full on 22 July 2026, paying the agreed settlement amount of R27,335.92 as negotiated with Ismail and Dahya Attorneys, acting on FNB's behalf.
On 28 July 2026, Ismail and Dahya confirmed receipt of my proof of payment via email and advised that the account would be referred to FNB for closure, with a paid-up letter to follow within a 21 working day SLA.
That period has now passed. I have received no paid-up letter and no confirmation that the account has been closed. My credit report dated 7 August 2026 still reflected this account as active with a balance owing, despite having settled it weeks earlier and in full.
I followed up again in writing and have still not received a response.
I have honoured my settlement agreement in full and on time, with proof of payment. I now need FNB and Ismail and Dahya Attorneys to honour their side: issue the paid-up letter and correct my credit bureau listing without further delay.
