This company has very suspicious and ******** activities happening in it. In the time I worked for them, I never signed an employment contract other than a 1 month probation contract when I started but they would make us sign documents stating that we will work unpaid to cover our "shortfalls". When I started working for the company, no police clearance was requested, however a few months later, their HR department began asking employees for police clearances because if anyone with a ******** record was found working for the company, they could lose their license to practice law. They made us an offer where we gave them R100 each and they would get the clearance for us. No fingerprints of any employee were taken, all they requested was a copy of each employees ID. A month later there was no update on receiving our clearances and when I left the company I enquired about this and the HR department said they would inform me about it. To this day there is no police clearance, which leads me to believe they might have paid someone to run our names through a system for their own gain but we were never going to receive the police clearance document. Another issue is how so many young women, including myself, were ***ualised by men who hold senior positions but despite the complaints from these young women, the matter was not dealt with appropriately, this was again to protect the company.
