Client paying for products she does not have.

A little over a year ago I agreed to sign up with Platinum life and shortly thereafter I got a call from an Isabella Garcia Consultant who introduced me to their products. Since I have used Isabella Garcia products in the past, I thought it might be a good time to try these again. I agreed to a hamper which included various beauty products and which I can pay off monthly per debit order accounting to R 149.80 p/month.

About two (2) or three (3) months after receiving the hamper I had to send it back (keeping in mind I did not open the hamper nor use the products inside it as I was planning to only do so when I've finished up the face products I was using at that time). I informed IG offices per email to expect the hamper back at their premises and once received to please stop/cancel my subscription.

The reason for this being, due to family problems/issues, I had no other choice but to leave my job at my father's company and move away from my hometown. I got a job vacancy, but the monthly salary was 100% commission-based, and because I wasn't sure how successful it would be I realized the most cautious thing do to at the time would be to cancel a couple of monthly subscriptions that I don't need but that were more luxury things I'd like to have.

Dating to the end of the month IG collected R 149.80 from my bank account. When I queried this, they informed me that they did not receive any hamper nor any correspondence from me. I resent the email which exclusively expressed my actions of sending back the hamper as well as asking for cancellation. Most of the time a consultant would inform me that this matter will be resolved but month after month the same amount keeps being deducted from my bank account.

At some point, when I queried yet another deduction from my bank account, I was informed that the hamper never reached the premises and that I had to provide proof that the hamper was sent back, unfortunately I am not able to provide such because I never keep the waybill slips. Thereafter, I was told I had to asked them to send their own courier, but I was not aware of this. Therefore, dating to the present, I am still being held liable for the monthly amount of R 149.80. End of Feb 2023, two deductions of R 149.80 were actioned within a span of only seven (7) days. I have on numerous times expressed my concern as a client about why I am kept liable for a product I don't have nor use, and somehow miraculously "got lost" but I am still paying. I personally do not think this is fair or acceptable.

I have tried my utmost best to be cooperative and understanding, but as a client I would expect the same from the Company. I've reached a point where I don't know what to say or do about this unfair treatment anymore and I'm kindly seeking advice on what to do and how I can reclaim the money that was wrongly deducted from my bank account.
