What a disgraceful company. A warning for other companies looking to do business with Internet Solutions

We are a small IT company who made the enormous mistake of partnering with Internet Solutions some time back.

This article is more to help other companies who are thinking of doing the same.

Internet Solutions - i can assure you are only in business to take your money, and they aren't even ashamed of how they do it either. The most ********* company i've ever had the misfortune of getting caught up with.

To give you a small part of our story: IS have targets for their resellers to reach, and if you don't reach them, they will fine you financially for not reaching them. Yes you read that right, they fine their own partners. Now, you might say why sign such a ridiculous agreement, and the answer is quite simple. We were **** to by our account manager and misled into signing this agreement saying that we could sell to our existing clients, and we could upsell to IS's existing clients which all turned out to be a complete lie to tie us into this agreement so that they could then fine us to make more money. Their accounts department is a joke, we've been dealing with Dimakatso Morake recently and we've been asking for outstanding invoices which they can't supply as nobody seems to know whats going on with their accounts. So the next step i guess is either going to the press, or a legal battle with us saying our account manager **** to us and them saying they don't care. (about us or any other little company out there)

If this just warns a couple of other small companies about internet solutions and what they do to small businesses in South Africa, i will at least feel like i've done my bit to help other small businesses in South Africa.

Hi Internet Solutions, (THE ****)

So here is the next installment of this saga which has now been going on for many years.

After the last episode, i was contacted by a Jody Carrolissen from Internet Solutions which we were actually quite optimistic about as it seemed we'd finally been able to get through to someone.

Unfortunately as with most interactions with Internet Solutions, our optimism was short lived.

Upon trying to set up a meeting with Jody to finally get to the bottom of this and put it behind us, Jody started to distance himself and stopped answering our phone calls and emails reaching out for some kind of closure. A couple of weeks later, there was complete radio silence from Jody and we were back where we started again, waiting for their lawyers to phone and threaten us again.

Here's how the **** works:

Step 1: Internet Solutions hire inexperienced accounts managers who are tought to lie and mislead clients and resellers alike.

Step 2: These account managers will lie and mislead you to get you to sign their agreements.

Step 3: Internet Solutions will ignore all attempts to contact them to get to the bottom of the issue.

Step 4: Internet solutions will then set their lawyers in attack mode to get as much money as they can get out of you.

It really is the most disgraceful company i've ever had the misfortune of having to do business with.

Just a **** into taking your money from you, and i can assure you they are no better than common theives. It's white collar crime all over again.

Hi All, This has now been going on for more than 4 years now, and I sincerely hope this convinces all other potential IT partners for Ignite out there to stay well clear of this company. Here is the next development to this Saga: After my last post (Which is the only way Ignite/IS will respond to you - via Hellopeter), Jody Carollisen actually contacted us to set up a meeting. It appeared we were finally getting to the end of this Ignite/IS mess. Jody was actually very helpful and sat with our accounts department who had done a recon on our Ignite/IS account for the entire week prior to this meeting. Our accounts department had to do it because Ignite/IS's accounts department are actually not sure what they are doing on a good day. After going through all our documentation - Jody actually saw the shortcomings of their accounts department and agreed that in fact our account had been settled in full. He took all our documentation and said he would straighten this out with their accounts department. This was wonderful news as we felt we had finally been able to put an end to this by meeting 1 sensible person at Ignite/IS. As with all good news regarding Ignite/IS, our relief at being able to put this company behind us only lasted for 13 months. It seems that Jody has since left Ignite/IS along with their previous accounts department, and as expected, we've now been thrown into debt again and handed over to legal. Surely a company the size of Ignite/IS can't be allowed to get away with this? There must be some kind of legal precedent stopping companies like Ignite/IS from handing you over once you've already been cleared of this debt. We are a small company and we can't afford for our accounts lady to spend another 2 weeks doing a recon of the IS account because their accounts department leaves every 12 months and is replaced by new staff. Each time this happens we get plunged into debt and handed over without ever actually using any Ignite/IS services. It's like a magic trick they perform every 12 months. Any help to get rid of Ignite/IS would be greatly appreciated, but also hoping this serves as a warning to any other IT companies out there thinking of partnering with Ignite/IS.
