Unreasonable \FICA"issue"""

I app**** for an Investec account last week and submitted all required documents. <br> <br> The Banker dealing with my application informed me that the Investec FICA team is not comfortable with the certification on the copy of my ID as it looked like it had been crossed out.<br> <br> I explained to the Banker that the certification is not crossed out, that it's the signature of the Police Officer.<br> <br> She then informed the Investec FICA team of my explanation and came back to me saying the FICA team is not comfortable with the certification.<br> <br> The Police Officer that certified my ID had stamped his name and contact numbers on the copy of my ID. I called him to explain the problem, he then said I should tell the bank to call him and he will explain to the bank that he never crossed out my ID copy, but signed it. <br> <br> I then told the Investec Banker dealing with my application to please ask the Investec FICA team to call the Police Officer that certified the copy of my ID to confirm that it his signature on my ID. <br> <br> The Banker responded saying that the Investec FICA team won't be able to do that, that I should send another certified copy.<br> <br> I just want to understand why they can't call the Police Officer.
