Unacceptable Practices

Approximately 12 years ago (could be longer) I took out a small Loan with Merchantile Bank. A fews years later this was taken over by Investec Bank. I have been paying for this loan ever since. I have never ever missed a payment. As payments were made it seems that Investec just reduced the monthly payment so the loan was never repaid. Then every year they would charge me an admin fee whcih kept the account alive. I take part of the blame her for not checking but I estimate I have paid more than double the loan. I complained in May this year but got absolutely no positive response from Investec. I then got fedup and paid an amount to settle the account. In the statement it shows that at the end of the month of May I was in credit for R18. In the next months statement (June 2015) the account reflects a opening balance reflecting that I owe investec R118.70. So on querying this again with Investec they said it was an admin fee of R120 charged on 1 May. Let me emphasize that that admin fee appears nowhere on the statement. They have now offered to credit the amount. No apologies, nothing. Be very careful when dealing with Investec, clearly they are not ethical.
