They lie and aid ex husband's with financial abuse and sabotage!
They are a bank who will blatantly lie! For three years after more than 7 million went into " my account " I got told my ex husband was the guarantor for a credit card with limit of R35 000! I had millions come into my account and they failed, omitted, deliberately or negligently failed to inform me or invite at divorce to make an application for my own bank account at Investec! For 3 years they gave me false impression that this was my own bank account! I had suspicions as my private banker on two occasions ignored me ! First time when I made a transaction for AED 150 000 being at the time R 592 000 ! He didn't so much as reply to my email! Pick up the phone! Never sent any documents or even made a call to Dubai when an investigation for that transaction. Just ignored me! He then again ignored during the pandemic when I needed to secure a rental while stuck in Portugal and required bank documents for source of funds and to state I had the capital required! Just ignored me and I went on to spend thousands of Euros for nearly 18 months using Booking.com as I had no permanent rental!
After losing my money they then told me last year that it was not my account and it was under the guarantee of my ex husband! But I can apply for my own account now! Well that was 3 years late!
I ended VERY, very badly and I am now telling my sad, sordid story to British tabloids press because Investec is in the UK but I hope that there UK clients get an idea of what this bank is capable of! They allowed my ex husband to continue with financial abuse and financial sabotage by failing to inform me of the true status of my account and the options available to me when my settlement payments started!
I ended VERY badly and the tabloids in the UK will love this truly sordid story! Certainly I believe that Investec UK will be deeply embarrassed by all association to the events.
Desperate times call for desperate measures! I will let people know what this bank did to help my ex husband sabotage me from the very start of my divorce settlement payments!

I don't trust anything about your bank when you allowed millions of my settlement money to get paid into an account not even independently mine nor did your bank inform of or invite me to open an account in my own capacity!
If Investec didn't want me as a client then they should have not taken all my payments and given me the opportunity to go do Private banking elsewhere! Especially when it was clear from my numerous complaints and emails that I didn't want my financial affairs in any way connected with my ex husband! So there was plenty of opportunity to set the record straight already in 2019!

They don't have all the information and why it is that I will definitely get coverage in the press! Their negligence in dealing with my account is definitely going to be mentioned as it was a major factor that contributed to my circumstances.
