Shocking Turn Around Times

I am absolutely shocked at the turn around time by Investec. I am purchasing a new property and the seller has a bond with Investec and my attorney requires the cancellation amount before we can proceed. On 12 August my attorney requested bond cancellation figures from Investec. The response from Investec was "it is currently with our legal department". Another follow up on 16 August with the same response. To date, i am still waiting for the figures. Please can you explain as to why it takes so long to provide this calculation? Do you know that each day delayed is an added expense to me and no remorse or urgency from Investec is evident. Is Investec planning to compensate me for these losses? there is no communication so one is left to assume that there is a delay in processing internally and i am being unfairly discriminated.
