Lovely bankers but systems are not entrepreneur centric - at all

While their private bankers are great to work with, relying on their business banking feeds to Sage Cloud Accounting to support a Finance function is a very bad idea, as I recently found out.

Without warning, Investec recently dropped Yodlee as their bank feed intermediary, inserting their own app, Finzap, in its place. After a month of to and fro, 30% of our bank accounts across 6 companies are still not transmitting bank feeds to Sage, placing our Finance function under tremendous pressure.

What one can expect: 1) No Finzap manual 2) No Finzap call centre 3) No Investec IT call centre or even customer care ticketing system

So, if you're an entrepreneur, think twice about opening business bank accounts with Investec. Very disappointing.
