Investec sold my shares against my will

I asked for some shares to be transferred from Investec to my new broker, but instead Investec sold the shares and withheld income tax on the gains before paying me the rest. I didn't want to sell the stock since I haven't held it long enough to be able to pay capital gains tax. I'm at a loss for words. Just stay away from these muppets.
