Investec Bank EFT clearing time

I would like to share an unpleasant experience I have had with a person paying for goods making an EFT via their Investec Banking account. I received an sms fairly promptly and a documented POP anticipating that the funds would reflect in my account. This was not to be, unfortunately I had allowed the person to remove the goods. Having not received the funds I followed up with the purchaser, he claimed he erred in not selecting immediate clearance and the payment would therefore not reflect in my account for 48 hours. I have since asked the purchaser to return the goods until the funds reflect in my account. The final outcome could well be that I have been ****med. I felt it pertinent to share this as I would be very weary dealing with anyone claiming to bank with Investec Bank. I have received / transacted with all the other major banks without any problems.
