Such disappointing service from Intertrans

I booked a household removal from PE to Centurion for 8th January 2017. They arrived a day early and used farm labourers to load my furniture onto a bakkie and trailer (as I stay in a complex there is a weight limit so the large trucks are not permitted entry). They then sat on top of my furniture whilst it was being driven to the storage facility, where it stayed over the weekend and during this time was damaged (water damage and torn leather chairs).

There has been a severe lack of communication from the Managing Director, Mr Naren Premlall, despite him being copied on emails between Michelle from their office in Port Elizabeth. Unfortunately my insurance only covered the in-transit part of the trip as the furniture was not supposed to be in storage before it left Port Elizabeth. I was also not advised by Intertrans that my furniture would not be leaving immediately for Centurion. Incidentally delivery was also received in Centurion a day late.

As a pensioner I am very disappointed that I have been totally ignored with regards to this matter. I have now been left with the financial burden to have my damaged goods repaired or replaced.

From this experience I would definitely not recommend this company to anyone wanting to transport their goods!!
