INTERTRANS, THE WOST MOVING COMPANY IN SOUTH AFRICA

THIS IS HANDS DOWN THE WORST MOVING COMPANY IN SOUTH AFRICA!!!!

On the 23 February 2018 we had order a delivery truck to move our household goods from Johannesburg to Durban for the Wednesday 28 February 2018. We had compiled an inventory list stating exactly each item on the list and made clear of the fact that we have to FULL double door garages and that the items we very large, not just standard furniture which was sent to offices and handled by PRIYA.

Initially everything was ok and they ensured me that there will be no problems and that they will have a 30 ton truck available for the move and i had paid the full amount in good faith, that this was going to be a well planned moved with sufficient enough time. I had stated that i would need an early pick up at 09:00 am of the goods in storage as i have a scheduled flight for Wednesday 28 February and needed to be at the airport at 14:00 pm so that i am able to receive the goods the next day in Durban first thing in the morning. After countless calls to INTERTRANS MOVERS, day after day, from Sunday 25 February - Wednesday 28 February i had been trying to confirm what time the truck would arrive to pick up my goods and not one person at INTERTRANS MOVERS was able to give me a confirmation on the time and said they would contact me back. I waited and waited for a call back from them which i NEVER received and i was the one who had to call back if they had ANY clarity as to when the driver would arrive. On Wednesday, the day of the mover i still in the same position as once again was told they would contact me, and once again had no idea auto when the driver would arrive. At this point the alarm bells starting ringing that INTERTRANS MOVERS had my money and no need for the service delivery side.

The truck arrived at 11:00 am and low and behold, it was not the truck which i had expected and all my furniture would not be able to fit it all into the truck. The driver and his team were excellent and very accommodating in loading the truck, however half way through packing the truck we were already 3/4 full in the truck and made a call to INTERTRANS MOVERS who we then spoke to SACHIN. Having not worked on the ground, he had no cooking clue about the fact that we would not be able to fit everything into the truck. It was now 13:00 pm and we were nowhere near completing the loading of the truck. SACHIN said that they do not have another truck to come and collect the remainder of the furniture and the best solution was that they would deliver the full truck to Durban the next day, 1 March 2018, offload and head back to Johannesburg to collect the remainder of the furniture and have it in Durban on Saturday morning 2 February 2018. I was accommodating of that but did state that i have a business meeting in Dubai which i had a scheduled flight for Saturday night. Once again I was insured that everything would be ok.

At this point i had to change my flight time to Durban as the loading took longer, which is why i wanted an early pick up, which were costs which i had to pay for. On the day when the truck arrived, which thankfully was on time, however did arrange for 2 of my own guys to assist their team with offloading the truck because i knew that we need to get the truck back on the road to Johannesburg so that it would arrive in time on Saturday morning for me to not miss another flight caused by INTERTRANS MOVERS and have further costs incurred, let alone a very important business meeting missed.

The truck had left on Friday, 1 March i received a call from SACHIN and was told that truck was in an accident and that the next option would be that he will only be able to collect the remainder of the furniture on Sunday 4 March. I made it very clear to SACHIN that this is not possible as i have a very important flight to Dubai on Saturday night and he said that he will call me back. As history goes that was never to happen and despite numerous calls to INTERTRANS MOVERS just saying that he is out of the office and will get him to call be back. At 16:00 he finally called me back stating that he was unable to assist me as he has more important clients to deliver to and that my only option is that he will have the truck loaded on Sunday 4 March and have it delivered Tuesday 6 March. Not only have i already once before changed my flight for Johannesburg to Durban, BUT i will now have to change my business flight from Durban to Dubai as well as pay for the storage for an extra month as it was arranged for it to be empty by the 1 March 2018. AND on top if it, this was without compensation for cost which i incurred to the amount of R18 800 thus far on top of the delivery which had already been paid.

Not only has this experience wanted my money but valuable time which INTERTRANS MOVERS have caused. SACHIN who i was told is the head will NEVER call back nor does he not look after his clients and quite clearly stated that he will NOT compensate me for the delays and costs which i have incurred. At first this was not about the money for me, but taking in consideration that INTERTRANS MOVERS had already been paid, what do they care. For a move which was meant to one day will now be seven days to have my goods delivered. In addition to everything i had a look at their website and having a read the testimonials, i would bet my bottom dollar they wrote it themselves and posted it as i find it hard that they are still in business. Perhaps SACHIN and his team are in the business in taking clients money and putting clients second which in that case would be a very profitable business.

I WILL ADVISE THAT NO ONE USE THEIR SERVICES TO AVOID BEING IN MY POSITION.
