I went to get new spectacles from InterOptika Trade Route Mall Lenasia. The "Optometrist" who examined my eyes claimed that there was no discernible difference between the results and my existing spectacles. My eyes won't be under much strain when I get the new ones. The strain on my eyes was intolerable when I went to pick up the glass and wore them the following day. I had a terrible headache and felt like there was sand in my eyes all the time. Additionally, I was told that the new spectacles would cost R5500; however, the total cost was R6380.96 when I received my medical aid claim. I was requested to bring them in, when I mentioned that I was uncomfortable with the spectacles, my corners was dismissed and where advised to use them for 2-3 days. I was not going to put myself through that discomfort and left that spectacles right there.
