Wilgeheawal Intercare not wheelchair friendly
I am utterly disgusted and disappointed.
After we were referred for X-rays due to a sore back , load shedding hit.
Realising their lift doesn’t work. After asking help from the manger of the unit we were told to wait till the power came back on. To wait an hour and a half.
I had to get back to work. My husband who has lost half his leg (hence the wheelchair) had to CRAWL down the stairs!!!!!!!! No one offered to help and all the manager could do was stick up out of order signs on the lift. Not even apologise.
So please tell me, what if more damage was done due to him crawling down the stairs? Who is going to cover all the additional medical expenses?
How can a medical centre not have wheelchair facilities available.
What if he was having a heart attack? Would we be told to wait till the power returns?
The matter was referred to the Practice manager who will be in contact with you as soon as possible.
