Treatment by attorneys representing Intercare

I received an SMS and email from Schulenburg Attorneys last week with an amount payable to an account, an amount I did not recognize at all without any reference to a company or any explanation at all. I therefore wanted to understand before I make any payment, which I was willing and able to do, immediately. I queried it and received a call this morning by the attorneys. However, I was not given a chance to ask my questions, and told if I don't pay immediately, they would sue and then black list me. The lady used these words 3 times.

I pleaded with her. Literally pleaded, but she did not allow me any opportunity to talk. Whatsoever.

I have since paid the amount out of fear of them taking the matter forward. It is a small amount and I was always willing to pay, I just needed to understand what it was for first.

I have learnt that this account was for DR FRYE AND ASSOCIATES INC, which I understand was overdue. However, I queried the codes and amount, based on my medical aid's explanation for partially paying. I have not received any feedback since from Intercare, and therefore I assumed it was finalised and corrected. It was such a small amount, I think R220 or something, which I would have paid immediately if I understood and knew what was going on.
