Quote incorrect

I needed to have a crown done and on referral I decided to go to Intercare. I received a quote from the dentist that included everything including the lab work that came to R5022.69. She said that there maybe a slight difference as she incorrectly added R8 to the lab work. This was then sent to my medical aid. They approved it and would pay R1600 toward this. Which would have left me with about R3400 to pay in. Based on this I decided to go ahead. At no point were additional costs cleared with me and at no point was I informed that I had to pay their supplier separately. So imagine my surprise that after already paying R2837.22 to the dentist I receive the bill from the supplier for an additional R1950. I then queried this with their accounts department and sent through the quote that I had received and agreed to. I have yet to receive any feedback from them. I have now paid the supplier but will in future not be going to this dentist every again. I am sorry but this is not how you do business.
