Pathetic service in accounts

I am copying my email that I send to Intercare... hopefully I will get to someone that can assist and also warn people to not use their services

Good day,

I really hope that this email can be escalated to someone that can assist me. Please forward this to a manager that will be able to assist me regarding this matter.

Last year December, my son and my mother went to a doctor at Intercare. Both was an second appointment at the same doctor as doctor misdiagnosed them first time around.

When we were finished an proceed to the accounts counter, BOTH our accounts was settled and the lady that assisted us, said we don’t have to pay.

I know how Intercare works, you can’t leave without payment either from medical aid or cash before you leave. So we presume that it is settle since it was a fault from the doctor.

My mother, Antoinette Watkins, then received a statement of R380. She phoned Intercare and they instantly rectify the invoice as it was a fault from their side.

About a month later I received an invoice and when I query it (as I know this was the same day as my mother and both was settled), Intercare said I have to pay the amount, without them even looking into the matter.

The last I spoke to the accounts department at Parkview, I tried and explain that this whole issue was a fault from Intercare and they must PLEASE rectify this. NOBODY at Parkview Intercare sorted this out, which lead to me being handed over.

Now my name is on the Credit Bureau due to the incompetency of Parkview Intercare staff in accounts department. I did pay the R380 (which I was not supposed to pay).

Now I have to pay another R360 for Intercare attorney’s. So I lost now R740 due to the something that was a fault from Intercare’s side.

Now my question is, is someone going to assist me with this matter? Why are 2 customers being handled differently? (Me and my mother)

I hope to hear soon from someone with this matter. I am in the process of dealing with my lawyer in order to take this further and get my money back!!

Dear Ms Lyons,

The practice manager has made contact with you. It was not a case of misdiagnoses. Please refer to the e-mail sent to you on 5 July in which the dr's medical notes are explained to you.

Regarding payment - our records indicate that the practice communicated with your numerous times to inform you about the outstanding amount and again to inform you that your account will be handed over if payment is not received. These records are available at the practice for insight.

Once an account is handed over to our lawyers, the matter is in their hands and all further communication should be addressed to them.

Kind regards

Intercare My Experience Team

Yes he was misdiagnosed, that's the reason why we had to go back again. And my son was then prescribed other medicine that again cost us another R450 above the previous meds of R1100.

Regards to account, I also numerous times said someone please need to help me sort this out. How can 2 customers with exactly the same issue being handled differently?

But I will let this go now because clearly as a customer at Intercare I do not have rights and Intercare will do whatever it takes to protect their side.

Luckily with my experience, I can now warn other people to not use Intercare's services and refer them to our current doctor, that we are very happy now.

Regards
