My Dr M. Selepe is a poor doctor and a worse human.

My partner had tested positive for Covid-19 with a PCR test. Several days later she was feeling short of breath and extremely anxious. New to the northern suburbs we booked at Intercare Fourways because we didn't know any better. Dr Mpho sauntered in 30 minutes after our appointment was scheduled. The clinic was basically empty on this day given that it was a public holiday, can't imagine why he was late. He briefly examined the patient, he examined her breathing impatiently. In less than 3 minutes he left the room again, no words as to where he might be going. Came back with a prescription of an assortment of medications and a ridiculous amount of pain killers (100 pills of still pain). When asked about what the drugs were, he grunted out that they would make her feel better and left the room. No word as to how the patient was doing, no words of encouragement of sympathy, no explanations. We're smart people, a little explanation would've gone a long way. Our research indicates that the prescription of steroids and antibiotics were only for severe cases, and have worse outcomes for mild cases. Bet the last time this ****** read a paper was in the first year of uni trying to show off. This man does not deserve a licence to practise medicine, and he certainly does not deserve to be paid R8500/hour to overprescribe medication. I hate homeopaths and this guy is worse.

The nurse was sitting behind the counter without a mask and was not particularly helpful.

I will not return to Intercare, and I will make sure to leave poor reviews wherever I can.
