Being forced to pay Imposed booking from Intercare Wonderboom Junction, Pretoria

I received a call on the 28th of August to say that my son had missed a dental appointment and the dentist was charging for it. In the first place, we never made a dental booking for him. My son had gone there with a problem with his teeth and after receiving treatment the dentist suggested that he was supposed to come back after 2 weeks. We did not make a booking for him because he was busy with his exams. However, a booking was made without consultation with us and without our consent. The booking should therefore have been made either by the dentist or by somebody from the practice. After writing emails to them and making telephone inquiries about it, I was informed that they will look into it. However, a month later I am receiving a statement for R1000 for missing a booking we never made. Interestingly, this is not the first time that we have been told of a booking we never made and that we never consented to from this practice. This is extremely ********* practice as you cannot force bookings on people without their consent and then force them to pay for it. I am extremely upset and disappointed by this conduct and lack of professionalism.
