Beware of Intellicell

I took 2 Cellphone contracts for me and my wife in January and November 2020, respectively.

I did struggle with making payments due to financial difficulties and made arragements for continuing with payments. My first contract expired in January 2022 but I finished the last payment at the end of April 2022 via debit order which was the agreed payment method.

I made arrangements with Bulelwa from Intellicell during June that I would not be able to pay more the 2 instalments at the end of June. But Intellicell debited three instalments.

At the end of July, I had a financial difficulty. I called and was sent through to Bulelwa and arranged that I would not be in a position to make 2 payments at end July and that I would afford one payment. And that I'll make up in the following months. My request was accepted by Bulelwa. I committed to pay on 28th July, but the money I was expecting, only came through on the 30th and Intellicell debited. So I relaxed.

To my surprise, the phone I had a contract on was blocked and cannot operate as of yesterday. When I called to enquire why the phone was locked despite having paid. The rude Bulelwa of Intellicell told me that I broke my promise to pay on the 28th July, hence Intellicell decided to debit.

She demanded that to keep the phone active I must pay the arrear amount of R223 on top of the R339 they had already debited.

She was not willing to listen to my explanation and requests foe clarities. But would howl at me as I talked and she talked at the same time as I was talking.

I got angry with this treatment as a customer, told her to "voetsek" and dropped the call.

I found Intellicell to be a dishonest company which customers out there must be careful of dealing with.

Calling and making arrangements with them is useless because, they turn around and refute tbe arrangements you make with them and howl at you when you seek clarities and seek to provide explanation.

Intellicell will ************ly take advantage of debicheck facility and do as they please with your bank account knowing that the debicheck will favour them. Once you have committed yourself to payment arrangements with them. They will take more money than you have agreed with them. Since they know that with debicheck, you will never get it back.
