QCTO Exam and course completion

I am extremely disappointed with the lack of communication and the delays regarding the QCTO examination.

I have completed all the requirements from my side, including the assignments, internal examination, and the required enrolment forms. We were advised that the QCTO examination would take place in August, yet after waiting for several months, we still have no confirmed date or clear update from the college.

This delay could potentially extend what was meant to be an 18-month course into a two-year programme, which is both frustrating and concerning. At the very least, paying students deserve regular and transparent communication regarding the progress and expected examination date.

Please provide us with a clear update on the current situation, the reason for the delay, and when we can realistically expect to write the QCTO examination.

Dear Letlhogonolo,
We understand your frustration and would like to clarify the circumstances affecting your specific group.

Your group has not yet been declared EISA-ready by the QCTO, as IBM College must first undergo a required QCTO site visit. We formally requested this site visit on 11 June 2026 and have followed up with the QCTO weekly since then. Unfortunately, despite our repeated follow-ups, the required visit has not yet taken place.

Until the QCTO conducts this visit and declares the group EISA-ready, IBM College cannot provide a confirmed EISA date. The College cannot conduct or schedule the QCTO site visit itself, declare learners EISA-ready on the QCTO's behalf, or determine the external examination arrangements.

We therefore respectfully disagree that the current situation reflects a lack of communication or action by IBM College. Our responsibility is to fulfil the requirements within our control, actively follow up where QCTO action is outstanding, and communicate confirmed information to our students as soon as it becomes available. We have continued to do exactly this.

We also believe in being transparent about the steps we have taken. You are welcome to email us directly, and we will gladly provide appropriate records of our repeated follow-ups with the QCTO, subject to applicable privacy and confidentiality requirements.

We genuinely regret the frustration this external delay has caused and will continue doing everything within our authority to progress the matter on behalf of our students. As soon as the required QCTO process has been completed, affected learners will be informed promptly.
