False advertising versus final actual product

On 2 May 2025, I placed an order for a customized couch with Innofurn. Before paying my deposit, I had a feeling to double-check whether they had captured my order details correctly, especially the measurements — which I did. Unfortunately, the final product was a complete disappointment. The measurements were incorrect, the couch looked very cheap for the price I was charged, and it was nothing like the one I had selected from their catalogue. The workmanship was extremely poor.

They attempted to fix the couch three different times, which they believed was acceptable, but to me, it no longer felt like a new couch — it had essentially become second-hand. When I requested a refund, I was given an ultimatum: if I did not pay the remaining balance, I would forfeit my deposit.

To make matters worse, I later discovered that the product images in their catalogue were misleading and appeared to be generated using AI, which amounts to false advertising. This misrepresentation led me to believe I was purchasing a high-quality product, when in reality, what I received was completely different from what was advertised.
