I, Yvonne Trooi Jood, ID number ********** 030088, assigned my debts over to One Debt, a debt review company, in the year 2016.

One debt and I had an agreement that they would deduct a fixed amount from salary each month to pay all my debtors (please see contract for details) and inform each debtor that they will be taking over my debts and will be directly paying them. Michelle Hendricks is the One Debt consultant that I was dealing with.

In the year 2018, I became ill and was booked off from work for 2-3 months. During this time I did not receive a salary. I informed One Debt (Michelle) about the new development and sent them the necessary documentation, hoping that I could receive assistance from the insurance company they work with. During this time I was awaiting the response on whether I will be boarded off sick or not because the doctor stated I was not fit to return back to work.

After contacting Michelle and sending all the necessary documentation, I found it difficult to get a hold of Michelle. Each time I called, I was told she was not available and that she would get back to me, of which she never did. I would call her on her direct number but she would not answer.

I asked Clientele legal to assist me in getting a hold of Michelle, but they too could not get a hold of her either. After a long-awaited struggle, Ashley sent all my documentation to the insurance company infusions, of which they said they were unable to assist me because the sick note issued in May-June stated that I would be fit to return to work after 2-3 months.

I was boarded off sick and unfit to return to work a few months after receiving the sick note, all this documentation was sent to them, but they still required the sick note to state that I was unfit to return to work despite the letter of being boarded off sick. I sent them the sick note stating that I will not be able to return to work and that I have been boarded off sick for permanently. Infusion has still refused to help me regardless of the latest addition,

I would like to ask if you could please assist me with my debt as I am struggling to settle it, there are more than ten debtors that I am owing. I am currently paying the bond and car but I am struggling to pay the rest. I underwent two Knee operations, of which I had to pay for the one because the medical aid was unable. All necessary documentation such as; the contract, sick notes and boarded letter are included in the attachments.
