Warrranty Claims takes too long

I took in a battery under warranty this morning. It takes betwwen 7 to 21 says for a warranty calim to be processed. How does one now use their car if they have to now wait for 21 days foer the claim to be process. Whats the point if it takes this long. this does not treeat any clients fairly.
