Poor after sales support after two vehicle purchases

<div>I recently bought a 2016 Toyota Prado from this dealer for R650,000, which was above retail value. I did not negotiate the price and paid the full asking price. After delivery, I discovered that the vehicle had been supp**** without the SD card required for the radio and GPS system to function properly. Toyota quoted R5,584 for the replacement SD card, but the dealer was only prepared to cover 50 percent of the cost. This was particularly disappointing as this was the second vehicle I had purchased from them. In 2024, I bought another vehicle from them for R626,000, also above retail value, again without negotiating the asking price or asking for any special favours. In my view, a vehicle sold at this price should be supp**** with all items required for its systems to work properly. This issue could have been resolved easily, but the dealer’s response showed very little appreciation for a repeat customer. Based on my experience, I would caution others to manage their expectations carefully when dealing with them, or even better, avoid them altogether.</div>
