Unpaid claim for submited for house burglary

I have been with this insurance for more than five years, I submitted by claims it was rejected, I have been advised to submit prove of ownership which I don't not have, My point is that in 2013 an assessor from the same insurance came to my house to take inventory of all my belongings and he noted down each and every item I had he even took pictures or every item, I have a copy of the inventory and the insurance have one too, So I'm under the impression that all the information should be on my file, currently I'm told that I must give the proof of ownership of thing which are more that 3 to 5 years of existence, I have renovated my house two years back, most of the papers were destroyed by then, I'm very disappointed.
