Indwe Risk services

There are three entities involved here but the buck stops with Indwe Risk Services through which I am insured . My policy has a 24-hour helpline for home assistance. Europ Assistance SA is the service provider who will authorise , on behalf of Indwe Risk Services, an appropriate entity / specialist eg plumber, electrician etc to assist with an incident. In my case, Europe Assistance authorised Meltronics Technology (Pty) Ltd to fix a wiring fault at a new ceiling light fitting installed in my scullery. The “Technician" from Meltronics Technology was adamant that there was nothing wrong with the wiring at the light fitting. After constantly being on his cell phone whilst trying to find the fault, it took 4 hours to realise that the fault was in fact the wiring at the new light fitting. The job would have taken a professional less than 30 minutes to complete. I twice notified Indwe Risk Service that I was unhappy with the ‘technician”. It appears that Indwe Risk Services has no oversight or say on the criteria Europ Assistance uses to select their specialists but whatever it is, it is not working. Surely, Indwe Risk Services must realise that this will tarnish their name.
